The Spingola Group provides valuable seminar training for both faculty/staff and public safety officials relating to, what the Regional Crime Information Center calls, "the active shooter." SG also presents at symposiums and drafts written threat assessments for universities and businesses.

The Spingola Groups affiliated staff consists of veteran law enforcement officers.

A 2001 graduate of the FBI National Academy, Steven Spingola is an investigator with a national reputation for excellence. Spingola is a death investigations expert, a police related shooting reconstruction specialist, and has formal training in criminal investigative analysis (profiling).

Michael Kuspa has over 33 years of law enforcement experience. During his tenure as a sergeant with the Milwaukee Police Department, Kuspa was a supervisor with the MPD’s Tactical Enforcement Unit, and was the officer in charge of firearms instruction and the Counter Sniper Team. Kuspa was directly involved in managing several critical incidents, including the U.S. Post Office active shooting incident that occurred in Milwaukee’s main postal facility in 1997.

From our experiences, in the aftermath of a serious critical incident, relatives, trail lawyers, and members of the media will demand to know:

What did your organization do to prepare for such an event?
How did an active shooter gain access to buildings or grounds?
Why wasn’t the perpetrator identified as a threat prior to the event?
What type of training had your faculty, staff, and administrators received to prepare for such an event?
What type of equipment was available to assist staff?

Don’t be caught off guard or forgo training opportunities.

The Spingola Group’s training seminar and threat assessment analysis is, by far, the best in the nation.

“It is important to mentally prepare the members of an organization to respond to a critical incident,” said Michael Kuspa. “If an active shooter event occurs, a planned response could save lives, and may prevent undue harm to an institution’s reputation and image.”
