“FALLING IN LOVE WITH LOVE”, SINGERS
Isle of Shoals Productions, Inc., an established ongoing NYC-based 501(c)(3) not-for-profit theatre company, is casting the Premiere of “Falling in Love with Love.” This “musical revue with a twist” celebrates the insanity of love and life in New York City. On Valentine’s Day 2009, at the fictional MANHATTAN PSYCHOANALYTICAL INSTITUTE FOR THE ROMANTICALLY CHALLENGED, patients, doctors and staff sing of love in all its maddening majesty, mystery and misery, as diagnosed by the great songwriters of the Broadway musical stage, then and now. Seeking: 4 men (18-40), 3 women (18-35) who are comfortable with harmonies and know how to really act a song. Each actor will sing at least 2 diverse songs, in addition to company numbers and solos within. Rehearsals begin on or about Jan. 15, weekday eves and a couple of isolated weekend days. Performances are February 12, 13, 14 (Valentine’s Day) and 15 at The Studio Theatre on Theatre Row. Auditions will be held by appt. only early Jan. in a midtown studio. Genuinely interested in all ethnicities.
