We are seeking one qualified WWTP Operator / I&C specialist with a valid Massachusetts waste water operators certificate to work at our state-of-the-art biological SBR facility located in Devens, MA. This position is for fulltime 40-hour per week, 1st shift operations, but could include occasional weekends and after-hour work as required. Additionally, the candidate will be required to travel locally to other project sites in the area to support minor system adjustments or calibration.


Responsibilities:

• Operate, repair, and maintain SBR treatment plant equipment.
• Provide I&C installation, calibration and repair for wastewater, groundwater and SVE systems
• Monitor facility SCADA system. Respond to system anomalies, and make system corrections•
• Travel to other area treatment systems to perform equipment inspections, system optimization, and calibration.
• Input completed work orders and analytical data into O&M data base.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

• Must have reliable transportation.
• Position may require overtime.
• Must be able to ascend and descend stairs.
• Be able to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work in all types of weather.

Basic Qualifications:

• Work independently, and posses strong communication skills.
• Knowledge and experience with instrumentation commonly used in industrial, water, and wastewater.
• Experience with installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Variable Frequency Drives.
• knowledge and experience in PLC ladder programming and hardware such as Allen Bradley, Modicon, GE Fanuc, and others.
• 5+ years of experience in operating biological and/or phys-chem wastewater treatment systems.
• Solid computer skills, with Microsoft Excel® and Word ® background
• Posses a valid drivers license
• Operator certification at a minimum level of MADEP-4 Industrial
• Knowledgeable in the principles and practices of wastewater treatment plant operations; operating principles of valves, pumps, motors; waste centrifuge; chemical off loading, flow measurement devices; principles and methods of wastewater analyses.
