POSITION AVAILABLE: (2) ELECTRICAL SUPERVISOR / PROJECT MANAGERS
These individuals will be responsible for:
• Leading new plant system and physical design and analysis.
• Interfacing with the client, other project personnel, and management.
• Leading the development of specifications, construction and engineering documents, vendor interface documents, and reviewing vendor submittals.
• Peer review calculations, specifications, and project change packages.
• Supporting the implementation activities, including deployment to project location and possible extended hours during implementation.
• Directing engineering groups on tasks that are broad in nature requiring originality and ingenuity.
• Assignments typically involve complex engineering problems requiring the ability to develop new methods.
• Displaying technical competence and decision making skills on assignments.
• Requires minimal direction from a higher level management.
• Other team members day to day activities.
• Applying individual technical competencies and performance characteristics to meet the customers expectations.
• Being adept at judging skill sets of others and applying them to best meet the needs of the project.
• Driving improvements to standard procedures or methods to deliver products or services.
• Leading colleagues so that they can become more autonomous and responsible while dealing with short-term objectives.
• Identifying and promoting activities that improve short-term profitability for the group.
• Client focus, providing innovative and creative solutions for our clients.
• Implementation engineering support experience, working with construction to resolve installation problems with cost-effective solutions.
• Versatility, with a broad base of experience, skills and knowledge.
• Demonstrating ability to lead major projects or teams (effective influencing and motivating skills.)
All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity. Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher level position.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university. BS in Engineering/Engineering Technology plus 7 or more years of engineering experience
• An advanced engineering degree may be substituted for related work experience (MS 1-2 yrs. or PhD 1-3 yrs.). In applicable states a PE licenses will be accepted in lieu of a 4 year engineering degree.
• Completion of at least five years of employment at a professional level in the field of expertise which demonstrates a progressive development of competence
• Electrical design and analysis experience with power distribution systems at nuclear stations and their switchyards, interfacing with other design disciplines, vendor interface, and development of plant modification documentation.
• Strong technical experience base
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel, including deployment.
• Must meet all unescorted badging requirements at a commercial nuclear facility. Business culture, with a proactive approach to scope and cost control.
The following requirements are desired and will be used to differentiate all candidates who apply for this position.
• Nuclear plant design experience and/or field experience working to a nuclear QA Program.
• Experience in multi-discipline major projects.
• Registered Professional Engineer.
• Experience with Captor, ETAP and/or EDSA software
• Experience with original plant design
• Experience in licensing
TRAVEL
Travel will vary depending on position hired for. Typical travel would include 6 to 8 weeks to support outages, 3-5 days for walk downs and proposal work. Position may also be for site support, which would include extended time (1 year or more) assigned to a work site.
