Graphic Web Designer for An ULTRA LUXURY MAGAZINE

As part of the ULTRA luxurious magazine company, the Web Designer will be responsible for all aspects related to the production and maintenance of the group’s websites.​ This person will work with the web editors to post stories and images on the site, work with video, photo galleries and other multimedia assets, maintain online message boards and blogs, and collaborate with interactive marketing, editorial and technical teams on site updates and special projects.​
Duties include but not limited to:
• Coordinating the implementation of new features for the websites: boards, videos, podcasts, blogs, widgets, etc.​
• Update, modify and correct graphical design elements, including navigation and images

Required activities include designing and maintaining all aspects related to the sports/luxury magazine's website. We want a designer who works well with text, and who is very creative graphically.

The work is extremely detail-oriented, intense, and fast-paced so we need competent, confident and patient, self-starters. The designer is in a pivotal role here, so previous design team experience is needed.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Intermediate/advance knowledge of Dreamweaver and other web authoring tools, .net Studio, Flash, Fireworks, Illustrator, image optimization, action scripting
Extensive experience in Indesign and Photoshop a MUST.
Capable of applying plug-ins, java applets and/or servlets
Capable of utilizing FTP, Telnet, and SSH
Experience utilizing JavaScript, VB, Java, ASP.NET, SQL Plus, CSS, C#
Data base Design and Development
User interface/front end design and development (look and feel)
Interface with multiple systems/subsystems

REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum 3 years' prior experience with content management
• Ability to work with individuals at all levels in the organization
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Proficient in HTML/​CSS and Photoshop/​Image Ready
• Familiarity handling Flash, Quicktime and Windows Video formats
• Must have programming experience with Linux and a web based platform
• Pre-press training
• Ad design skills

* Strong layout skills
* Commitment to strict deadlines
* Art Director experience is big plus
* Knowledge of HTML and basic web design principles much desired.
* Flexible with your work hours
