A Miami based bakery group is looking for a Controller. The position is specifically responsible for the following:



· Creating and managing a comprehensive, accrual-based, zero-based program budget formatted, financial management and reporting system

· Developing and maintaining a chart of accounts, including Cash Control and Bank reconciliations

· Implementing a settlement process for both Independent operators and company stores

· Maintaining a Master file system and controls for products, routes and customers

· Responsible for Revenue Accounting, primarily analyzing and controlling trade expenses

· Assisting the owners in the development of the budget

· Developing systems and procedures to standardize and safeguard the A/R, A/P and cash management processes

· Maintaining an accurate Cash Flow Analysis to maximize investment income

· Providing business acumen and judgment to management through knowledge of functional areas, customers, processes and financial systems.

· Preparing financial plans, monitoring implementation of policies/procedures, preparing special purpose reports, analyzing trends, recommending policy/procedural changes necessary to ensure on-going regulatory compliance.

· Providing significant contributions to the strategy and proposal development processes

· Recommending benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance of divisions and departments.

· Managing the preparation of the official annual report of actual revenues, transfers, and expenses.

· Managing the preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts.

· Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements.

· Directing financial audits and providing recommendations for procedural improvements.

· Overseeing daily operations of the finance department.



Basic Qualifications/Experience:

· BA/BS Degree in Accounting or Related Field Required

· MBA / CPA Preferred

· Strong Quantitative & Problem Solving Skills

· Strong Excel and Computer Skills Required

· Food or Restaurant Experience Preferred

· Must be hands on and able to take initiative with minimum supervision

· Entrepreneurial and flexible attitude

· Self driven and Proactive

· Bilingual (Spanish required)
