Scientific Staffing is looking for a highly energetic, empowering manger and motivated scientific professional to lead a growing Chemical Sciences Department in Central New Jersey. The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree in a Science related field, experience in pharmaceutical chemistry, experience with financial budgeting and proven management skills. This is an excellent opportunity for a person with the right mix of science and business skills to help lead and manage our growth.

Description:
• Full management of chemistry laboratory operations reporting to Senior management
• Establish department policies and procedures.
• Assure compliance with regulatory and client requirements.
• Strategic planning/development.
• Manage backlog and workflow through subordinate staff.
• Client relations and audits, conduct client visits.
• Interface with regulatory agencies during audits and issue resolution.
• Responsible for department financials.
• Performance appraisals of direct reports.
• Serve as key technical advisor/resource for the site.
Requirements:
• Degree in Chemistry or related science. Strong understanding of basic chemistry with experience in chromatography, spectroscopy and standard Pharmacopeial methods.
• 5 years minimum laboratory experience, preferably in a QC environment
• 5 years experience in a management position with a proven track record of responsibility and accomplishments
• Experience in developing SOPs, protocols, and technical documents
• Experience in running projects/program management in a GMP environment
• Self motivated with high-energy and an entrepreneurial team spirit, willing to get "hands-on" to build business
• Focused on customer satisfaction and operational efficiencies
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to effectively relate to personnel at all levels of the organization.
