Director of Clinical Development
MedEd Architects, a leader in the creation and multimedia delivery of healthcare education is searching for a Director of Clinical Development to drive and manage the creation of accredited medical education content for our partner clients including the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Diabetes Association, the American College of Chest Physicians, the American Heart Association and more.
Key responsibilities for this position include the development of needs assessments, along with the identification of educational opportunities across a broad range of therapeutic areas. The Director of Clinical Development will assist management in helping to identify new development and educational opportunities while staying current with CE standards.
Primary skills required include a strong clinical background, demonstrated organizational skills, knowledge of ACCME standards and guidelines, strong industry knowledge, and experience in grant and proposal writing.
JOB DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES
•PROJECT RESPONSIBILITIES
o Work with internal project management and production personnel to establish project deadlines and milestones
o Recruit faculty for projects
o Coordinate with faculty to develop presentations and project related content
o Liaise with partners as part of production team
o Provide clinical background for production staff
•CLINICAL DEVELOPMENT
o Research and write needs assessments
o Conduct surveys with healthcare providers to stay ahead of treatment challenges
o Research targeted therapeutic areas to stay ahead of treatment approaches, guidelines and breaking clinical trials
o Work with business development staff to identify new opportunities
o Develop learning objectives that address gaps in needs assessments
•CLINICAL SUPPORT
o Implement and manage CE accreditation for accrediting bodies
o Develop outcome measures/tools for CE activities and coordinate with faculty to develop measure outcomes for each program
o Assist in the creation, dissemination and maintenance of CE policies and procedures and training
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
•Minimum Bachelors degree in science or related field (i.e. nursing)
•Minimum 5 years CE program experience
•Working knowledge of CE guidelines, specifically ACCME, AACN and ACPE
•Strong customer service skills
•Excellent communications skills, oral and written
•Excellent problem solving and organizational skills
•Proven ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and work overtime as required
